Just measure out two parts Part A to one part Part B, mix and apply and allow to cure overnight. It has a 45-minute working time and can be handled in 6 hours. Handling strength will develop in 10 hours of room temperature curing and will fully cure within 24 to 36 hours. Heat curing is also ideal for a faster cure time. The mixed consistency is similar to a very light syrup (800 cPs).
The use of an epoxy resin to apply a finish unto a counter top or a bar top is an inexpensive and simple process that can yield very functional and decorative results. Upon cure, the resin cures to a clear high gloss that creates and provides a protective barrier against stains and chemical attack that can ruin its aesthetic quality. Granite, marble and concrete and bare wood counter tops for example are porous substrates that stains very easily and removal of the stain is virtually impossible
MAX CLR A/B epoxy systems are a line of two-component epoxy resin that is specially engineered to provide a crystal clear decorative coating, demonstrating excellent colour stability, toughness andease of use. Upon cure it yields a very high gloss finish that is resistant to most household cleaning chemicals such as soaps, ammonia and petroleum solvents. When choosing laminating resins, it is important that the formulation is 100% reactive, meaning that it contains very little no plasticizers and solvents that other formulators use to lower the viscosity of the resin system. Plasticizers and solvents are also used as liquid fillers to reduce the cost but sacrificing overall cured performance.

Place chart on gel coat to be matched. next start adding a few drops of pigment. Check mix and repeat until desired colour is achieved. Just add between 1 and 50 Drops. These pigments change the color very gradually. This gives you very accurate control.
Matching Tips: Over the years we have found that most off-white colors start with a base of OXIDE and then have a slight amount of yellow or brown or black added. That covers about 740 different shades of off white. As gel coat get older it fades. Its not unusual to find a 10 year old boat that has faded to 5 different colors. (RE: deck, transom, interior, port side, and starboard side.) Different amount of sunlight caused the fading to happen.
