Filling Liquid Applicator & Powder Dish
Using the Needle Applicator
Liquid:
Squeeze bulb on pipet, put tip into liquid and release pipet bulb to draw liquid.
Move pipet to uncapped applicator bottle and squeeze pipet bulb to transfer the liquid
Powder:
Remove tip of powder bottle, gently squeeze powder from bottle into dish
Applying Plastex Using the Applicator Needle:
- Place the needle onto the tip of the liquid applicator bottle.
- Position above powder dish, gently squeeze liquid bottle and place one or two drops into powder
- Quickly pickup sphere with the tip of the needle and position over repair area
- Gently squeeze liquid bottle to flow the materials onto repair area, repeat as needed to complete repair
- Tip: Can't pickup mixture ball - Fill powder dish. ·
- Tip: Too much liquid comes out - Fill liquid bottle to avoid this
Using Plastex to Repair Cracks and Fill Gaps
Remove dirt and oil from repair area.
File or grind a V groove along cracked area
Apply Plastex mixture onto repair area as needed
Allow Plastex to cure and finish as needed
Use cellophane tape to keep mixture from seeping through crack.
Tip: If mix sets too soon, add more liquid
Repair Cracks and Fill Gaps
Repairs Using Plastex with Fiber Reinforcement Cloth
Place reinforcement cloth onto cellophane sheet.
Sprinkle Plastex powder onto cloth as needed.
Apply Plastex liquid as needed to saturate powder.
Place onto repair area and adapt to repair.
Allow Plastex to cure and remove cellophane.
Tip: Use reinforcement cloth on areas that are weak or prone to crack.

This adhesive is unique in its ability to bond hard-to-hold materials like polypropylene, polyethylene, and high-impact polystyrene.
3M Scotch-Weld High Performance Industrial Plastic Adhesive 4693H is a clear, elastomeric adhesive with exceptional adhesion to metal and plastic. It has immediate bond strength as well as long tack range and contact bond properties. Exhibits outstanding bond strength to metals and many plastics. Good resistance to water and aging.

Note: Not recommended for use on plasticized vinyl. Use on plasticized vinyl may result in poor adhesion or bonds that deteriorate over time.
Non-Porous Surface: Brush, spray or flow an even coat of adhesive to both surfaces. To achieve a satisfactory bond, adhesive must be force dried @ 180°F (82°C). Bond with firm pressure while warm.
Drying Time: Drying time depends on temperature, humidity, air movement and porosity of the materials bonded. When brushing, wait a minimum of 10 minutes.
Bonds can be made up to 60 minutes. Sprayed bonds may be made almostimmediately and up to 60 minutes.
Heat Reactivation: Adhesive may be heat reactivated by raising the gluelinetemperature to 180°F (82°C).
Cleanup: Excess adhesive may be removed with a solvent such as 3M™

Heated to about 194 °F, the material becomes flexible and moldable to any repair surface. As it cools, it becomes rigid again and retains the new shape. At operating temperatures, the material is rigid and strong.

The patch can also be used to repair trailer panels and flashings, motorcycle and ATV fairings, and any other vehicle damage requiring strong adhesion and structural support.
Unlike tape, the patch becomes rigid after it's shaped and then cooled, creating a durable, water-resistant, structural repair that won't crumble or peel off.
Originally developed for NASA and made with "shape memory" material, this temporary, all-weather, space-age patch can be warmed, molded, and adhered over the repair site, and allowed to cool, forming rigid structural support. Rec'Repair holds tightly to the damaged area with a high-performance adhesive.
Rec'Repair® kits include the same water-activated MRE heater bags used in the field by campers and soldiers. Adding water to the heater bag triggers a reaction that produces steam and enough heat to make the patch flexible.HOW THE KITS WORK
PREPARE
Clean the damaged area with the alcohol swabs provided. The area should be dry and free of dirt and debris or the patch may not work. Remove all contents from foil bag. Put on protective gloves. Tear off the top of the heater and pour water into the heater bag until it reaches the fill lines. This activates the heater.

HEAT
Heat the patch with the water-activated heating bag, included in the kit, until the patch becomes flexible. The patch material can also be heated by being wrapped in foil in a frying pan on a camp stove, with a heat gun, with a hair straightener (flat iron) or with another heating device from an RV. |
PEEL
Peel off the adhesive backing while the patch is flexible and warm. |
APPLY
Form the patch material over and around the damaged area. Press to ensure consistent adhesion. Shape the patch until it cools (only seconds) and becomes rigid. |

HOW THE PATCHES WORK
For best results, clean the damaged area first. For best adhesion, damaged area should be dry and free of dirt and debris.
- Heat the patch to approximately 194 °F (90 °C) using an appropriate
heating method. Heating methods can be MRE heater (included with kits),
oven (wrap in foil to protect paper backing), or heat gun. Warning: DO NOT
HEAT ABOVE 270 °F (132 °C). Be sure your heating method complies with safety
standards according to the conditions under which you will be applying the patch-
for example, outdoors, in rainy weather, near flammable materials, etc.
- Once the temperature is near or above 194 °F (90 °C), the material will soften and
become very flexible. While heated, it can be easily cut to shape with scissors, if
desired. While wearing gloves that protect against the heat, remove and discard
the paper backing from the material. Avoid touching the adhesive once the paper
backing is removed.
- With the adhesive side facing the repair surface, form the flexible Rec'Repair
patch over the damaged area, applying pressure to shape it and press it into the
contours of the repair surface. Continue pressing and shaping until it cools and
becomes rigid again. Cooling time depends on the temperature of the damaged
surface and on ambient air temperature, but normally the patch cools and becomes
rigid again within seconds.
- Rec'Repair is a strong repair which can be removed later by prying it off
with a putty knife or other slender object. It's best to remove it while it's cool
How can I heat the patch?
We recommend a standard heat gun. Other heating devices that can be used include a paint stripping gun, a conventional or toaster oven (wrap the patch in foil to protect the paper lining), a microwave (wrap the patch in a paper towel and do not overheat), or a sealed boiling bag. Hair dryers typically do not generate enough heat to activate the patch.

Can be used for pipe, tank and general maintenance these one-part resins require no mixing and can cure at temperature extremes beyond 28oF and 104oF without impacting strength characteristics or cure time.
Includes enough resin and application materials to repair up to 20 leaks, in any location or weather condition.
As fast onset adhesives, the resins cure as quickly as 30 seconds. With pressure relieved, there is no need to drain the entire system; effective bonding can be achieved in damp or even wet environments. Pinholes and cracks smaller than 1/8" withstand 800psi of pressure after being repaired by applying the resin directly to the surface.
Holes and cracks larger than ¼" benefit from using the fiberglass reinforcement mesh that is included with the Kits and Refill Packs. Since the resin cures on command once activated by the NSR BLUE Light, set-up times associated with epoxies are not a frustration. PLASTEX 3000 Adhesive bonds soft plastic, most polyethylene, polypropylene, HDPE, UHMW and polyolefin materials without heat or special surface treatments. PLASTEX 3000 can also bond dissimilar materials including metals, plastic to metals, wood, glass or any structural repairs that require high strength. PLASTEX 3000 is also compatible with other PLASTEX products. PLASTEX 3000 is great for flexible ATV or dirt bike fuel tanks, fenders or any other flexible materials that until now have been impossible to repair. PLASTEX 3000 is available in 35ml tubes and two colours natural (cream colour) and black.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Place PLASTEX 3000 cartridge into the PLASTEX applicator gun or caulking gun adapter. Remove cap. Disperse small amount to insure complete mixing. Use only 10:1 PLASTEX mixing tips. If mixing without auto mixing tips be sure to thoroughly mix both parts together for at least 30 seconds. Apply adhesive to clean surfaces within the 3 minute work life. Secure parts with adhesive tape or clamps for 1-2 hours. Allow 12 to 14 hours for full cure at 70f (22c).
